The NAB Visa Debit Card vs. ANZ Access Advantage Debit Card

Sharing is caring!

NAB Classic Banking Account Presents the NAB Visa Debit Card

The NAB Visa Debit Card allows you to access your funds whenever and wherever you go (as long as Visa is accepted). There are neither monthly nor annual fees. NAB doesn’t charge overdrawn fees, meaning you won’t be penalized for accidentally going over.

Holding your compatible technological device, you can use your card to pay with Apple Pay, Fitbit Pay, Garmin Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.

Wherever you use your card, you will be supported by Visa Zero Liability as well as NAB Defence. These layers of security will protect you against fraud.

Keep in mind that if you use the card while outside of Australia – or to pay online for any item priced with a non-Australian currency – you will incur a 3% fee for currency conversion.

If you would like to access your own funds without paying monthly or annual fees to maintain your account, the benefits of NAB Visa Debit Card might be your best bet. Along with strong security features and all the basics of account management that you could want from a big bank, you can enjoy the convenience of using this card wherever Visa is accepted.

In addition, NAB has a platinum version of this card: the NAB Platinum Visa Debit Card.

ANZ Access Advantage Account Presents the ANZ Access Advantage Debit Card

The ANZ Access Advantage Debit Card can also be used wherever Visa is accepted. You can use it in Australia, outside of Australia, and at ATMs worldwide.

Initially, when you open the account, there will be a $5 monthly fee. The fee will be waived if you deposit $2,000 or more into the account each month. The fee will also be waived if you are younger than 25, aged 60 or older, a full-time student at an educational institution in Australia, receiving a Centrelink mobility allowance or disability support pension, or have a combined balance of $50,000 in all your ANZ accounts. You will also be eligible for a fee waiver if you have a Home Loan, Residential Investment Loan, or Portfolio Facility through ANZ, and your salary is deposited into your account.

Using your compatible technological device, you can use your card to pay via Apple Pay, Fitbit Pay, Garmin Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.

The Government Deposit Guarantee secures any funds you hold with an ANZ Access Advantage account. In addition, the money is backed by the Fraud Money Back Guarantee and the Internet Banking Guarantee: both provided by ANZ.

Keep in mind that you will pay a $5 monthly fee if you don’t deposit $2,000 into your account every month or fit into the qualifying demographics for having the fee waived. This is common for this type of account.

The ANZ Access Advantage Debit Card could be the right card for you if you are looking for easy access to your funds, great security, and excellent account management.
