How do you describe Ponikuta to people you meet who haven’t read it before?
A honest, quick portal for beauty product/treatment reviews and for the latest beauty news/trends.
When did you first start blogging and what made you first hit the keyboard?
Started my blog as an online diary back at 2004 to keep up with family and friends abroad. It has since translated to my love for all things beauty and occasionally food.
What is the thing you most enjoy about blogging?
The beauty blogging community (especially the MBBE girls) and the ability to share my beauty journey with my readers.
What is the coolest thing your blog has helped you do?
Starting Australia’s first beauty blogging community – MBBE = Melbourne Beauty Blogger Events.
What piece of advice would you give someone just starting out their very first blog?
Have passion, be patient and be persistent. A successful blog does not flourish overnight (unless you are a celebrity or have a brilliant idea going on), it takes time and determination to grow.
Tell us about your pets, friends, hobbies, star sign, shoe size… whatever!
I am your classic Virgo perfectionist that is also stubborn and is obsessed with dogs. I have a pet miniature fox terrier named Belle and she is my frequent blog/instagram mascot. Apart from beauty blogging, food and Belle; I also love to travel and shop for shoes.
Do you have a particular favourite post that you think is Ponikuta at its best?
I would like to think that my next post will always be better than my previous. Always look forward not back. If I were to pick one, I’d say all of it were awesome.
