Update: To help show our pledge to Earth Hour, Nuffnang.com.au will “shut down” and instead will have an Earth Hour site take over between 8:30pm-9.30pm (Sydney/Melbourne GMT Time) this Saturday 27th of March. It’s the first time we will be doing this in Australia to show we are doing our little bit to promote Earth Hour! :)
I’m just one person… what can I do about global warming?

Actually, there is something you can do to join the movement for change!
Next Saturday, the 27th of March, at 8.30pm, Nuffnang will join thousands of companies and people around the world in shutting off the lights for 1 hour – Earth Hour – in a global campaign to raise awareness about global warming. From 8.30 – 9.30pm, lights will be going out all over the world!
Earth Hour started in 2007 in Sydney, when 2.2 million homes and businesses turning their lights off for one whole hour. Three years later, Earth Hour has become a global movement with up to 100 million people across 35 countries participating.
Join us in supporting & blogging Earth Hour!
We’ve pledged to support Earth Hour, and we’re hoping that you will too! Register at the Earth Hour website – then decide how you’re going to spend Earth Hour! There are a lot of organisations and local councils around Australia planning cool activities for Earth Hour – so why not find out what you can do in your local area, or put on something yourself? (This Nuffnanger will be hosting a candlelight dinner in the countryside to celebrate Earth Hour!) If you sign up, why not blog about what you have planned for Earth Hour? Comment here to let us know if you’re going to participate, and if you blog your Earth Hour, leave us a link and we’ll do an Earth Hour roundup after the day. :)
